On the roadmap
More to read. Less friction. Real reach for publishers.
DailyZine is young and moving quickly — and we are building the features that make discovery feel effortless for you and worthwhile for the people who create the work: richer cards for every format, accounts that sync everywhere, and fair ways for publishers to get listed. Here is what is coming, and why it matters.
Timelines shift as we learn from readers and publishers; the direction stays the same: a wider catalog, clearer format signals, frictionless sign-in and sharing, and transparent tools that send attention back to original sites.
Your next favourite site should not be hard to find
We are expanding what you can follow, showing every format clearly on the card, and making it easy to sign in, share, and pick up reading on any device.
Never run out of voices worth following
Your discovery is only as good as our catalog of publishers. We are adding more sites and more articles every week — so your feed stays fresh, your topics go deeper, and that obscure blog you love is less likely to be the only gem in a desert.
Whether you browse the latest posts or shape your For You feed, you will have more chances to stumble on writers and creators you would never have found through a single social timeline.
- More independent publishers in every category we cover
- Steady growth as we onboard feeds and refine quality signals
- Less repetition — more reasons to open DailyZine daily

Screen recording: Discover and feed with new publishers appearing
Read, watch, listen, cook — from one feed
Blogs are only part of the story. Cards should tell you at a glance whether you are opening an essay, a podcast episode, a recipe, a comic strip, or a video — with richer metadata when feeds provide it, and the same promise that every tap lands on the publisher's own page.
As the catalog grows, format-aware presentation keeps your feed scannable and honest about what you are committing to before you click.
- Clear format signals on every card
- Episode length, series context, and similar details where available
- One discovery flow for articles, shows, comics, recipes, and more

Sign in your way — pick up where you left off
Your library, follows, and For you recommendations should travel with you. Sign in with trusted identity providers for one tap on a new phone or laptop — or use a magic link sent to your email when you prefer not to add another password to your life.
You keep control of your account; we remove the busywork that gets between you and the stories you saved for later.
- Faster return visits on web and mobile
- Familiar providers you already use elsewhere
- Passwordless email link when that fits you better
- Same synced library once you are in

Share and resume anywhere
Found something worth passing on? Share a single article or a list with a link that opens on the web for anyone — and deep links into the app when your friend already has DailyZine installed.
When you are signed in, the same link picks up your follows, read-later queue, and library across devices so you never lose the thread between phone, tablet, and laptop.
- Web URLs that work logged out or logged in
- Resume reading and saved lists on any device
- App deep links when DailyZine is on the home screen

Celebrate depth, not doomscrolling
Good reading habits deserve a quiet nod — not a leaderboard. We are exploring streaks, milestones, and optional shareable summaries of what you explored, inspired by the best parts of reading apps without turning your library into a competition.
Badges and moments should reward breadth — following voices across topics, coming back consistently, saving thoughtfully — rather than pushing you to clear an infinite queue.
- Streaks and milestones that respect your pace
- Optional shareable reading highlights you control
- Achievements that favour curiosity over volume

Get found by readers who are already looking
Submit your feed or claim an existing listing, connect whether you run WordPress, Ghost, or plain RSS, and see transparent quality signals — with docs and dashboards that respect your site as the source of truth.

Submit a feed — claim your listing
Self-serve onboarding for publishers: send us your site or feed URL, verify ownership, and track status from submission to live in the index. Already listed? Claim your site so you can connect tools and see Hub data without a support ticket.

Connect flow for Ghost, static site, or custom RSS with verified badge
Ghost and every other stack
DailyZine is not WordPress-only. Ghost, hand-rolled RSS, and static sites get the same path: verify your domain, link to Publisher Hub, and follow the policies in our upcoming developers documentation — no plugin required.

Hero of documentation: feeds, policies, getting started
Developers site — ship once, reach readers everywhere
Clear guides for getting your content onto DailyZine's app and website: feed formats, update frequency, branding, and what readers see before they click. Less back-and-forth, faster time to first listing.
Planned

Dashboard: impressions, clicks, top posts
Publisher Hub — see what resonates
Site owners get a home for performance: how posts surface, how often readers open the original URL, which stories deserve a follow-up on your own site, and how transparent quality signals affect discovery. Data to grow your audience, not vanity numbers locked in someone else's walled garden.
Connect once from WordPress to verify ownership, speed up support when something needs fixing, and manage performance in the Hub without setting everything up twice.
Planned

Hub panel: update cadence, policy fit, reader satisfaction — explained plainly
Site quality signals — transparent, not punitive
Discovery should not feel like a black box. We are building understandable signals — update cadence, click-through satisfaction, policy fit — that tune ranking and appear in Publisher Hub so you know how readers experience your listing, not whether a secret score demoted you overnight.
Planned
Image placeholder — publisher embeds
Embeds: Follow on DailyZine, latest posts grid, bookmark CTA on a generic site
Publisher-facing embeds
After you connect in Publisher Hub, drop embeddable widgets on any site: follow buttons, latest posts, and save-to-DailyZine calls to action. The WordPress plugin ships the same placements for turnkey setup; custom sites paste a snippet or use our docs.
Planned
WordPress publishers: connect, promote, ingest
Most independent sites run on WordPress. Prefer WordPress? The plugin bundles connect, promote, ingest, and the same embeds described above. One plugin family links you to Publisher Hub, turns visitors into followers, and keeps feeds and APIs aligned with how you want to be discovered.

Show readers you are on DailyZine
Part of the same WordPress plugin as our follow blocks and post footers: display that your content is available in the app and on the site — social proof for visitors and a subtle invite to follow you in a place built for long-form discovery.
Planned

Composite: Gutenberg block, single-post footer CTA, featured ribbon
Turn site visitors into DailyZine followers
People who already read you on the web are your best future followers. Drop a Follow on DailyZine block where they engage, add a Read on DailyZine footer on shared articles, and optionally show a Featured on DailyZine ribbon when a post is performing in our index.
One WordPress plugin — enable the block, footer, and ribbon independently so each placement earns its keep without cluttering your theme. The same follow and read CTAs power our generic publisher embeds for non-WordPress sites.
Planned

Settings UI: categories, excerpts, featured image rules
A feed tuned for discovery — not just your default RSS
Shape what we ingest: highlight series, trim noise, or promote the posts you want new readers to see first. You keep publishing in WordPress; we get a cleaner signal for the right audience.
Planned

Full site content ingest via WordPress API
When feeds are not enough, pull richer metadata and structure directly from your site — so cards reflect your work accurately and readers know what they are clicking into before they land on your page.

Connect to Publisher Hub in one click
Verify your site from WordPress, open Publisher Hub metrics when you need them, and lay the groundwork for featured ribbons and other tools that depend on a trusted link between your install and your listing.
No duplicate onboarding — connect in the plugin, manage performance in the Hub.
